Andrea Servida

Head of Unit, "eGovernment & Trust, DG-CONNECT, European Commission

Andrea leads the team in charge of the European eGovernment Action Plan 2016-2020  as well as of rolling out of the eIDAS Regulation [Regulation (EU) 910/2014] on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the Internal Market.

He lead the team in charge of the proposal for a Regulation on "Electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the Internal Market" that was adopted by the European Commission on 4 June 2012

Prior to this he was Deputy head of the EU's Unit for "Internet: Network and Information Security". Besides the management duty associated to the function of Deputy, he defined and managed the policy, strategy and approach on network and information security and critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP). To this purpose, he was also in charge of developing appropriate strategies and plans, as well as working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Lastly, He coordinated on the Commission side, the operational and financial activities of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA).

Jon Shamah

Jon Shamah is a graduate of Southampton University, specializing in Aeronautics & Astronautics.

 

Jon is a digital Identity & Trust Subject Matter Expert, specializing in maximizing the technology and operational value chain of very large scale eID schemes and national eID programmes.

 

He is a frequent public speaker on issues surrounding identity and Trust and facilitated the ministerial eID workshop in Poznan, Poland which directly led to the eIDAS, Trust Services regulations.  Jon was a long-term consultant on eID issues to the Nordic Banking and Payments Consortium, NETS, and contributes to European Programs such as SSEDIC, STORK2.0, ATTPS, FutureID, FutureTrust and LIGHTest. Jon is former co-chairman of ITU-T, SG17, Joint Coordination for Identity and is a member of the Advisory Board of a number of European organizations and projects.

Carl-Markus Piswanger

eGovernment Architect, Austrian Federal Computing Centre

Carl-Markus Piswanger is eGovernment architect at the Austrian Federal Computing Centre for over 12 years and has worked in ICT for 20 years. He holds a master degree in History/Political Science and two post gradual master degrees in E-Government and General Management. He has certifications in Project Management, Process Management, Marketing and certification as a Management Consultant. In eHealth he holds a Health Enterprise certification. His main topic of interest is eDemocracy, with nine implemented projects in Austria since 2005. He is lecturer at universities and academies in Austria and has worked on EU projects including PEPPOL, Cloud4Europe, FutureTrust and TOOP.

Matt King

Director, SAFE-Biopharm

Matt King, Director of SAFE-BioPharma, has 20+ years of cybersecurity expertise, focusing on Identity, Credential, and Access Management for a broad range of commercial and government entities. He served in the role of Senior Policy Analyst and Identity Management Subject Matter Expert for the US Federal Public Key Infrastructure (FPKI) Policy Authority under the US Government’s Identity Credential and Access Management Subcommittee (ICAMSC) for more than a decade. He also worked for Booz Allen Hamilton supporting the National Security Agency’s PKI and Biometrics Research initiatives. He holds multiple degrees in Computer Systems Management and Information Systems and a Certificate in Information Resources Management.

Yana Krimpe

Mrs. Jana Krimpe is an accomplished visionary in the field of e- and m-Government as well as in the fast-growing arena of mobile digital identification and signature technology (m-ID). With more than 15 years' experience in implementing innovative ICT solutions in both the public and private sector, she has earned a strong reputation for success in international circles. In 2018, Jana Krimpe has been named in One World Identity’s Top 100 digital influencers list globally. In 2016, the Financial Times and Google listed her among the top 100 changemakers in Central and Eastern Europe.

 

In addition to being the founder of the Azerbaijani-Estonian ICT company B.EST Solutions, an award-winning leader in m-ID, Mrs. Krimpe is head of the Mobile-ID Consortium in Azerbaijan, Chairwoman of the Azerbaijani-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and founder of Azerbaijan Women in ICT Club FEMMES DIGITALES.

 

Mrs. Krimpe is passionate about providing expertise based on the real-world experience she and her colleagues gained when they successfully implemented e- and m-Government solutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan. This work has expanded and re-defined how identity and signatures are managed digitally, issued by governments and made legally binding, all to create a seamless business environment and an inclusive, efficiently-connected society.
